Relay at the Park

Tuesday was pretty cool. For Colfax fire training we took the rigs to Schmuck Park and pulled a couple pre-connects. My team went on one side of a large out building, and there was a team of hosemen on the other side of the building. Soon they sprayed water in my direction. I did as any self respecting fireman would do. I protected myself and sprayed water over the out building back at the bad guys. This went on for a while and then we were told to break down and head to the engine. Then we laid the hoses out side by side, four sections, not connected to each other, and not connected to a nozzle and the engine. It was a team race to connect all four sections together, get the nozzle and engine hooked and flow water first. Marc and I were a team against Greg and Jamie. Marc and I kicked butt. I got the sections connected a lot faster than Greg. After that we broke the hose down again. Went back to the station and got the engines back in service. Following that I watched some TV with Ken and went home to go to bed.
