Four Hearings!

I slept in, because I could. And it was nice! Then I decided it was time to start my day. I went to the fire station first. I ate lunch and talked with Jenny as I watched Gonzaga win their basketball game. Then I headed out for Pullman Building Supply. I had to get some lumber for building a dog house and a railing for my deck.

I got there and Brandon was working. It was nice to see him. He is a good guy, and a good friend of Russell. He actually went on my boat with me this summer. He helped by select my wood and I got come nails and screws. Wow, if you have a dirty mind that could be sort of funny... talking about getting wood, nailed, and screwed!

Back on topic now.

I went home and unloaded the wood. I was going to need to use it on Sunday when Dan would be coming over to help me build the dog house.

I got in my corrections officer uniform and went to work at the jail. I did not have to work Saturday dayshift so I thought I would make money instead of spending money this evening. I figured we could do some shakedowns. We ended up doing a shakedown on Male Work Release. We found a number of contraband items, including tobacco, ink pens, unauthorized food items from the kitchen and more. We got about four hearings out it, plus the whole unit lost smoking privileges for two weeks.

I worked about nine and a quarter total hours when it was all said and done.
