Last night of poker for a few days.

I headed to class this afternoon not wanting to be there. But it turned out to be okay. We covered introductions to completion reports. Then she said class is cancelled on Thursday and Tuesday after Spring Break. I talked with Joe a little bit. We have decided to whittle down our subject area and focus on just one area. This will help getting us focused and working in the right direction.

After class I got back to work. I talked to people about the problem of the computer freezing when getting stuff off the server. There are still a handful of people with the problem. I am not sure what the cause is yet, but it is a tricky one to tack down. We have tried many different angles. There does not seem to be a common thread except for the fact that is happens on one server. The network administrator is not certain it is the server.

After work I headed over to the fire department for training. We had a normal board meeting. That lasted about fifty minutes. We watched some video footage of confined spaces in Colfax for safety training. Then Carl, Greg, Jeff, Jim, and I stayed and played cards. I was having a rough night early on. I think I finally started to make a come back. I had a ton of quarters at the end. The problem that I have been having is winning the first hand. I did that again playing poker tonight. It was Seven-Card-Stud-Chicago. That is where the person with the lowest spade in the hole gets half the pot. I ended up being a hogger and got both the best hand and low spade.

Carl left first and we were going to play another twenty minutes. But before Carl got out the door the phone rang. We got a call for a medical transfer. Greg and Jim said they would go. So we ended up calling it a night.
