EMS calls and napping. What a day!

I planned on getting some good sleep but instead a call for a roll over accident came in about fifteen minutes before eight AM. I hurried to the station. As I ran out my door I forgot that I had shut the screen door and busted through it. Luckily I did not break it.

I was able to drive the new Ambulance on the call. It was cool. It was a little way out on highway twenty-six. A lady had rolled her car. She also had a dog with her. She was taken in to the hospital, but appeared to not be injured. Her dog was okay as well.

I hung out with the dog for a while after we were done with the call. Then she was getting ready to be discharged. She got her dog back and Scott and I found out we have another call. It is a transfer to Tekoa Care Center. I had never been there. It was a BLS transfer so I took patient care.

We cruised up there and I got the paperwork done. Then we went back to the station. It was a little after-noon. I was going to eat with Ryan, but that would not happen because I was late. So I let him know I would not make it.

I went home and took a nap. I slept until about six pm. It was nice. I needed the sleep. When I got up I watched some TV and then went to Rosauer’s to get some dinner. I took it back to the fire station. I ate it and talked with Tim who was covering for Jenny. Colfax Officer Robert was there too.

We talked about some war stories and how it was that he got to Colfax. Then a call came in about a missing dog. He said he would keep his eyes open for it. Shortly after that a lady stopped in and said that there was a dead dog on the road. It was the dog that was missing. He took care of that.

We watched CSI before I took off to go home. I stayed up sort of late watching TV and talking with Kyle. He text messaged me and said I still owed him a goodnight. So I called and bit him a goodnight.
