The end of the Thanksgiving weekend

I had gone to bed with the idea that I would go on an ambulance call before heading to Seattle. Sure enough I sleep though the whole night. Shortly after noon, however, a call did tone out on my pager. It was a non-emergency transport to Pullman. I got my stuff packed and headed to the station. I figured if I made the call, cool, if not I could get my way home.

I pulled in and Carl was there. I asked him about the call. He said two were coming. I told him that I was only going to go if they needed more or I would be on my way home. I was there when the ambulance was leaving Whitman Community en route to Pullman. Just after they said they are en route the pager goes off.

It is a car accident out on highway one-twenty-seven. So Scott and I went that direction. We ended up requesting Steptoe to bring the back-up ambulance. We had the bird launched and met us in Dusty.

The car had gone down a fifteen to twenty foot embankment and landed on its top. No one died because of injuries from the accident. I drove one of the patients to the hospital with Scott in the back. After dropping off the patient we cleaned up the ambulance and then I did get out on the road.

It was a pretty easy drive. I listened to the end of the Seahawks game. They got crushed by Drew Bledsoe and the Bills. I listened to some more tunes and I got home in time to watch the Simpson's only to find it as not on tonight.

I spent the evening talking to Joseph and Adam. Joseph is a college student from the East Coast. He really is into cars. We mainly had small talk, but he was an easy person to talk to. Very friendly. I also talked to Adam. Adam was a Coug who I met a few years ago. He is a fellow right-wing type of guy. He is also a gay guy.

He has some real issues right now. I did not give him simple answers or anything like that, but I was just here to listen to him. I told him that I really liked the time we had in Pullman together and I would hope that one of these days we can get together for an evening. He is from Olympia, so there is some distance between us, but if we want it to happen, it can happen.

I talked to Kyle. We have some pretty firm plans about meeting up on Tuesday. He really wants to get to know me. He said he is really excited and nervous about meeting with me. I told him I am too. I said that there is no guarantee about what will happen from this point on, but at least we will have some fun while finding out.
