Getting my first training session

I met with Jon for lunch at Three Pigs BBQ. When we were sitting there I saw John Carlson from KVi walking out the door. It was too late to say hello. So I E-mailed and told him that I saw him. After that I went to get my hair cut. I had almost three inches of hair on my head. Now I have about a quarter inch. It felt good to get a cut.

After work today I went to Twenty-Four Hour Fitness. I had my first session with a trainer. We were just going over the worksheets I filled out last night. He entered all the data in to the computer. Then we talked about what I wanted to get out of everything. I told him I would like to get into better shape and a little stronger so I could play softball better. Be a better hitter. Be a better runner.

He said we would work on exercises that would help me with that. We did a body fat calculation. It looks like my body fat is about fifty-four and a half percent. That is a lot more than I would like to be. So we are going to work to get that down to about twenty percent as well as work on running and strength. The system said that it would take between nineteen and twenty-three weeks. I don't think it will go so fast, but the trainer said once we get things going I will see the fat practically melt off. My first work out with him will be Thursday.

I went home and ate some dinner and then I spent time watching TV and chatting on the computer.

Yeah Scotty, when your working out, the first few weeks are the hardest. After you get past those, well...like he said the fat will almost melt off.
