It is coming along... slowly

When I got to work I had my laptop with me. I spent some time doing some of Joe's website. I was getting more touches on it and making it do what I want it to do. It will display things and then depending on how the user wants the output to look it will have a few different formats. It needs work on the look, but it is up and running.

Now for the fun part of inserting all the data into the database. That is slow going. I need to create an excel spread sheet with that data so I can do it more quickly. Then the next part is to relate the data to categories and subcategories. I am still not sure exactly how I want to build that section. I am leaning towards a page that will show all the stores and you choose as many as you would like and then choose what category or subcategory they would go in. I also need to make some pages to edit the current data and to remove old links all together.

I had a money wrench thrown into the mix last night. I may have to go back to the way I was originally doing it. I was only putting in the link and then adding the A HREF tags in the code, but one of the items will not allow that to happen because of where the tag. Maybe what I can do is check to see if the first four letters are HTTP if so then do it as I have been, otherwise it will display what is in the URL field without the extra tags I added. Man, I am a genius!

Bill was showing me something he was thinking about investing in. I am skeptical because of the large amount of money he would have to put into it. I gave him a few questions to ask about it to clarify things.
