New Radios!!!!

I have been excited all day about the coroner's meeting coming up in the evening. The day was dragging on very slowly. I started out the day badly by showing up to work almost two and a half hours late. DOH!

When I was checking my e-mail I found out Justin had seen most of the accident and had been on scene from the beginning. I also found out he lives outside of Colfax and works in Colfax. I was surprised about that. So I asked if he wanted to meet for lunch. He said that would be cool. So we met at Taco Time for chow. We talked about softball and then about the fatal car wreck that happened on Monday. He told me that he saw the tools flying through the air. He saw the white truck go into the ditch and saw the grey truck go out of control. He said it shook him up later that day. At the time he was in rescue mode and did not think about it. He said he spent about half an hour with the guy in the white truck talking to him.

After lunch I worked some more. I ended up working until six thirty to get one of the hours back. It looks like this Friday I will spend doing a lot of make up time.

My mom called and we only talked about two minutes. She said she will be coming out here on the forth to help out. She said she would be here until about Monday. I need to talk to her today to be more information from her.

I got to the basement of the SO and Pete and purchased some pizza. Patti, Pete, and I ate pizza and talked about the case we had on Monday. We showed Patti the photos and the reports from it. Pete gave us our new radios. We got Motorola HT twelve-fifties. They are pretty cool. We got a couple body bags, some hand cleaner, some blood kits, and a few other things. We signed up for some nights that we will cover on the weekends.

After the meeting I went to the fire station. Carl did some stuff to my radio to make it better. He also showed me a few things about using it. He said when I know what additional frequencies I would like to have in it, he will put them in for me. I plan on having the jail frequency added.
