Day one at a new job

I went to bed early and I was able to get up early and started my morning. I got the instructions on how to get to the office so I did not get lost. I headed out the door and made a stop of Chuck’s Donuts for breakfast. I got some pop from Hop-In grocery. I was off.

I spent about thirty-five minutes getting to the office. I showed up at the front counter and I talked to the receptionist. It was shortly after eight am. Hardly anyone was here and none of the developers were here.

I was introduced to people around the building. I spent some time talking to the CEO. She had her dog here. I petted her dog. I was waiting on getting my computer. The IT guy was having problems getting it going. I was not in a huge hurry to get it.

Around nine o’clock I had met some of the other people who I would be working with including Win, Ryan, and Terry. I didn’t do anything through out the day except talk with new people.

I got my computer in the afternoon and started to get it fixed up for me to use. I customized everything and put on my favorites and some of my files. I have two monitors like back at IS in Colfax. I have my computer set up in many ways like I did when I was over there.

I went home around five o’clock pm. I got there and Bill was asking what I did today. I told him that I did not do anything. Everyone seemed to be asking how I like the job. I can’t say that I am too thrilled at this point.
