Win some, lose some

I started the day looking for someone who could possibly move into my house and act as a roommate. I found someone who is going to be a vet student at WSU. She has a dog and a cat. She is interested in moving in. That is cool. This could be someone who lives here for four years. We talked for about an hour.

I chatted with my mom about moving to Seattle and taking this new job. I really am up in the air on it. I will talk myself into and out-of taking this job all day long.

After talking to my mom I headed to the Valley Road Playfields where we were taking on Garrett's team. He has not contacted me yet. It is like he does not want to meet. I don't know what the deal is. He definitely goes out of his way when we see each other.

We start the game. Garrett said he is looking forward to hitting off of me. He hit a pop-up, a foul-out strike out, and one base hit. Not very good in my view. I actually did not let any of his teammates hit a homerun off of me.

At the beginning of the game they did not have enough people to play the game we have the choice of taking the forfeit or giving them ten minutes. I gave them the time. I figured that I would rather play and lose than take the forfeit and show that I am scared to play them. The guys they needed to play the game showed up.

At one point they challenged my cleats. They thought I had spikes on. They also whined about a few calls. They were a bunch of whiners. In some ways I wish I hadn’t given them the extra time.

When it was said and done we lost seven to four. Without scoring a run after the first inning we deserved to lose.

The second game was a must win game. We won that one pretty convincingly. We will be in the playoffs.

Craig offered to buy the first round of beer at Zeppoz. I got up there with Ryan. Ron, Heather, and Eddy were up there as well. We drank and sat around talking softball for about two hours. Then I took Ryan home and went home myself.
