Post Thanksgiving work

This morning I was getting out of the house a little later than I would have wanted. I still have that darn problem I left when I left for Thanksgiving break. A lunch time meeting was scheduled.

I got a call about the water pipe situation. The insurance company said that they would not normally cover what I was told would be covered. But because it had been promised they would cover it. So I am not sure what is going to happen from here. Worst case scenario I could be out seven-thousand bucks or more.

I got some lunch and came back for the meeting. They were just trying to figure out where we were with all our tasks. Upon returning to my desk I was working on two bugs that took priority over that problem I have been dealing with. I got one finished and the other one I realized the fix to it as I was walking out the door for the day. Actually I have it fixed, I just need to move the files to the server.

I chatted online at length with Jared. He is a paramedic from Canada. He is also gay. He seems pretty out and proud for the most part. We talked or nearly four hours. He was very open to talk to and we just talked about all sorts of issues.

Then I talked to Roger. He is from the South. He is a really nice guy. He said he tends to be shy however that does not come out online. He is very nice and easy to talk with. We were chatting for a bit and he asked what way I swing. I told him I batted and threw right handed. He laughed. Then I told him the truth. Roger and I have talked a few times in the past. Tonight was our longest conversation. He is a pretty cool guy to talk to as was Jared.
