Card in Colfax

I got into work at seven am. About forty minutes later the tones go off for a car accident with someone having chest pains. I went to the fire station and we were off. It was out on the Walla Walla highway. That turn off is in Dusty. We cruised to Dusty and then turned onto the Walla Walla highway. It was still about another eleven miles from there. Someone who was on his way to a doctors appointment was the passenger of a car driven by his wife. They slid off the road. We got on scene and called for MedStar to be launched. They were to land at the Dusty airport. We loaded the patient, and then I drove to the Airport. We got there about fifteen minutes before the helicopter. When it touched down they took the patient and took off. We headed back to the barn.

I got back to work. It has been a quiet Christmas week with everyone but Sharon and I on vacation. After the call I went to my house where Sampson Plumbing was working on my sewer system. I chatted with Glen for a while. He said things could be worse. It looks like thing will cost less than one thousand dollars. That was good news.

I went back to work until about five pm. I went to bury the trench. I told Glen I would do that to save me money. I headed to the fire station to play cards. There were about seven of us to start with. It was fun playing. Then ome people left and a new guy came. Then it was down to Jim, Carl and I. We played some more complex games. We finished playing cards at about midnight.
