New protocols

I got into work today and after about two hours a call came out for a man who was not breathing well. It turned out he was a cancer patient who was going down hill. We got on scene and more or less talked with the family. We respected their and the patients wishes of not transporting him to the hospital.

We got back and I went back to work. I had a few things that I was able to work on. It was nice to get a few things to do so I was busy. I talked to Bev about my up coming surgery and schedule. It is Brandon's fiftieth birthday tomorrow so her and Sharon are going to decorate his office and get him a cake.

When five-thirty rolled around I headed to Pullman. I was on call. We had medical training. We talked about the new EMS protocols. Then we did some stuff on trauma assessment. Went back to our station and we had a shift meeting. We have three new rookies on our shift. Then John and I played cards until nearly midnight. I won twenty five dollars.
