End of the Kyle era?

Today I had one thing in mind at work. Finish the stored procedure. Before I went in I stopped by the post office and mailed off a letter of recommendation from Bev and my application for Pullman Fire.

The stored procedure needed to be refined. There was a lot of data in the database that needed to be formatted. That took a long time to go through it line by line and then figure out in SQL how to format it the way I wanted.

Tonight the plan was to meet Kyle. He is a younger guy. We were going to go see Saw in the theatre. When I called him after work he said that he was thinking that he may want to do something else instead. I asked what he wanted to do. He did not have an answer. I said depending on what it was I would probably be game.

I got home and called him again. He said he was worried about meeting me for the first time and meeting in a place he was unfamiliar with. I had talked about the Factoria Movie theatres. I told him I would go to any theatre. I only had suggested the Factoria theatres.

He said he would call back in a little while, that he had to do something. A while came and went with no call. I watched Third Watch and then decided to leave. I was pretty upset that he did not call me. I was actually worried about how long the relationship would last because he likes to smoke pot. And I am against that big time. So I think we would have clashed there. Plus he would not move to Pullman should I get my job there. He wants to stay in this area. So I don't know what would have come of it. I just think it is crappy the way he left me hanging.

For a guy who called me up at three am last weekend and told me how much he was into me and how much he loved talking to me and having me around, he doesn't see to show it.

I drove to Seattle. I thought about going to the Madison Pub to see if anyone from the softball team was there. I drove by it. There was not a lot of close by parking and I did not feel like doing too much. Going there was outside of my comfort zone. Going inside without knowing what to expect was way outside my comfort zone. I ended up driving by it and I wimped out. I did not go inside. Instead I drove back to Renton.

I went to Diamond Lil's and played cards. I ended up playing until a little after five-thirty am. I held my own obviously. By the end of the night however I was down about fifty dollars. That was not too bad from being on the brink of being knocked out a few times.

I drove home from Downtown Renton. I got to the road to Fairwood on the Maple Valley Highway before I saw my first red light. I made great time going through town.
