Oblivious to the World

I woke up Tuesday in a unfamiliar place. I was at the fire station. I quickly realize I once again got no calls. I grabbed my alarm clock and head to Colfax to get ready for work. I drive the Albion road to Colfax since I am on the North side of Pullman when I leave town. As I was ready to leave for work from my home in Colfax my pager went off. There was an accident on the Albion road. A roll over with a person who was trapped, and unconscious. I headed to Colfax Fire to see if Rescue 11 would go on the call. Albion ambulance and Pullman Ambulance were dispatched to it. We did get toned to it, however we were cancelled before going en route.

I called Dell customer support about my Axim. I turned it on on Monday. The screen had a reminder on, and would not let me acknowledge it. I tried to do a soft reset several times. But it would go back to the reminder screen and freeze up. Since I had everything backed up I thought I would try a hard reset. It got to the Align Screen in the setup process. It would not get past that screen. As soon as I would hit all the points I had to, it would start over. They are shipping me a new one. That is pretty cool.

Tom Pfeifer called and asked if I wanted to do lunch. I did, so we met at Top Notch, like normal and had a burger. We chatted for a while, and then we left to take care of our dogs.

I was on call at the fire station in Pullman, so I left work at about forty-five minutes after five o'clock. I hurried to Pullman. I contacted Brandt to watch the tape of use tubing from two weeks ago. I met up with him and a few of his friends. He said Garrett was going to be there. I debated on not going, but I went. I just ignored Garrett for the most part. He would talk to me and I would half ass answer his questions. Everyone enjoyed the video.

I went back to the station and went to bed shortly before eleven o'clock.

You know, it is funny that Garrett hasn't figured anything out yet. Well, I guess he wants to work for the federal government. So, being oblivious to the real world around him is necessary.
