The smell of alcohol and acid warmed over!

Wednesday was again a day were I spent the majority of it in the Health Department. I was finishing up the computers and getting things cleaned up. At three o'clock pm I had class so I headed to Pullman to get to class. I have a hard time understanding the teacher. English is a second language for her. At points she flys through stuff, then other times she drags along. But when she is flying along, that is when I would like it slower. When she is going slow, it is on the obvious stuff.

I was on call that night. So, I went to my office and started to work out my plans for a softball stats website. I have the database design in my head and on paper. I am going to run it by Jon to get his thoughts before I start to built it.

I hit the hay at about ten-thirty. Sure enough we get a call. The night I choose not to wear my uniform. So I had to get in the coveralls. The first call was for someone really drunk. He was really drunk. He was throwing up all over the place. I could smell the stomach acid and the alcohol warmed over. That is a very gross smell. I was gagging. At the hospital we were decontaminating the cot and the ambulance. Everything smelled.

Then I got home and was about to drift to sleep as a second call came in. This time it was about three in the morning. We head to the scene. Someone was having an allergic reaction. We picked him up and transported him to the hospital. The back of the ambulance smelled a lot better. A vanillaroma smell. Very much better, thank you.
