One more day at home

I spent pretty much the whole day in the recliner. My back still hurt. Not as bad as it did yesterday, but it is getting better. I worked on the gail4senate.org website. I also worked on the Pricing Tool. I did not get much on that taken care of.

It felt like I did not do anything at all today except spend the whole day on the computer. I did not get outside at all today.

I got tickets for Peter and I for the Mariner's game on September eleventh. It will be Cougar day. I also saw that the IM's start that day so I am going to see if I can get those games moved to the following week so I don't need to drive to Pullman for one day. I will do it, I would rather not though!

I make Jephren a mod on the Scottyland board. G-Shack went down again due to bandwidth. So my board got a little more busy.

I wanted the M's today as well. They beat the Blue Jay seven to five. Ichiro got three hits and took the M's record for most hits in a month at fifty-six.

I plan on going to work tomorrow because my back is getting better and I think I will be able to sit without much pain.

Working from home

I wake up in pain. It was not as bad as the day before. I work my way to my truck and head into work. I sat in my chair for about an hour. It was hurting more and more.

So I went home to work for the day. I sat on the recliner for most of the day. I got some stuff done. I did get my job application for the job at WSU completed and sent in. I really hope I get hired!

I was on G-Shack for a while making some posts. I got into a conversation with a guy named Kale. He is from Arizona. He is a Republican and very smart. He was fun to chat with. He had posted a G-Shack salute and he joked that you could see some of his privates in it. When I looked at it I thought you could see the tip of his penis hanging down below some stars. So I posted that it was I saw, and of course if I was right he should be in porn.

When we were talking he told me I was right that I did see the tip. I thought that was pretty impressive. He said he is not shy about showing himself off. I don't see a reason why he should be. He is a very good looking and a very smart guy. I can see him go far in politics.

So he said "no offense but are you gay?" He said he did not think I was because I seemed normal. I showed him the post in my blog where I told Mark about the situation between Peter and I. He said it was sad that Peter wasn't my friend anymore. He said he had no problem with me being gay. He is a very cool guy.

As we talked it became clear that he is very confident in his own sexuality and he is not worried that a gay guy is going to convert him to being gay. He is a rare man. He is willing to admit if another guy is a handsome guy and he is not fearful that someone will call him gay. I cannot put into words the respect I have for him. He is the kind of guy that I would love to have as a friend. He is one of those people who can be a friend of everyone.

One other thing I was impressed about besides his intelligence was his theory of friends. Just like I believe you can only have one best friend. He feels the same way. The word best does not mean many on an equal level. Best means the one on top of the others. So to say someone is a best friend is to say you have no better friend than that one person.

We chatted for about an hour or so and then he had to hit the hay. I wished him the best and I hope that he becomes successful because he seems to be the type of guy who can be successful.

Ouch! My back hurts!

I woke up after getting to bed at about four am. I had to go to Pullman because I needed to get stuff from Gail for her website. I went to Pullman and met up with her. I showed her what I made and she liked it. We tweaked a few things and then I got the images from her.

When I got up I stretched with my arms up. My bad started to hurt. I ended up hurting it really bad! It got worse and worse. Gail offered to let me lay down. I declined. She offered me some pain medicine. I took it and we talked for about an hour about politics.

We spoke on many issues from taxes and education to her senate race and big business. It was fun to chat with her. I got going at about three pm. I needed some food and wanted pizza. So I called Ryan to see if he would come with me to get the pizza. He did. So I picked him up and got the pizza. I bought him some breadsticks because he helped me.

I got underway. It was a long trip. My back hurt so bad that I could not get comfortable. It seemed like it would never end. I finally got home. My mom helped me get my stuff inside the house.

I had to work on the website some more. I got it put together except for some of the pages. Gail wanted something up. So I got it to the point where some data was there and I figured I would get more done tomorrow. Hopefully by back will feel better. I hope that when I go to bed it will not stiffen up and not allow me to get up. Gail suggested I may not go to work tomorrow. I said I don't call in sick, especially for some pain. I will go in, even if I leave early.

Softball with the fire department

Today was a big day. I was going to hang out with friends and play softball.

I got up and headed to Pullman for the softball game. It was the fire department versus the city maintenance workers. I started at second base and was hitting fourth. I went four for five with two homeruns. My first at bat the pitcher, Art, told everyone to scoot in. The guys in my dugout were all giving me ooh's and laughing. I heard someone say, no respect! I got a basehit.

My next at bat there were two guys on base. I hit the ball. I thought it was going to be a deep pop-up. I went sprinting down the line. Then the ball went out of the park and over the trees in center field at the City Playfields. It went close to the parking area in center field across the street. It was a monster shot. One of my next at bat I hit it over the right fielders head and the ball went to the fence. I had an inside the park homerun out of it. It was so cool.

I went to Colfax after the game to change and get ready to meet with Gail to work on her website. She is running for State Senate. She wanted to hire me to do her website (http://www.gail4senate.org). I said that I would do it. I got a lot of stuff from her and then went to meet with Peter.

I drove to Waller and I was hanging out with him and we were chatting about our normal stuff. Then Ryan called. I asked what Peter wanted to do. We decided to go see a movie. We were going to see I,Robot. I talked to Ryan to see if he wanted to go. While talking to him I found out that his roommate pulled some more crap. I was mad that it is happening and I was mad he did not tell me what was happening while I was in the meeting with Gail. He had called me and asked if I was in the meeting. I said yes and he said he would talk to me later. I told him in the future to tell me what is going on. I said he is more important than the meeting.

Peter and I went to pick up Ryan and then go to the movie. On our way I was on Valley Road near the playfields. I saw two cops coming up Valley Road and turn on to Merman Drive. I said that I bet I knew where they were going. So I hurried up to get to Ryan's apartment. It was were the cops were going. I stood by with Ryan until the cops were done talking to him. I helped him move his TV into his bedroom and then we went to the movie.

I saw a couple of the people who had played softball with and against me today. I said hello to all of them. When the movie was over with we went to Ryan's apartment. Everything and everyone was gone. Just Ryan's stuff remained. We hung out there for a few minutes and talked about the court yard partied that happen at CCN.

We then went to get dinner together. Following dinner we got some ice cream. Then we went to Moscow to play air hockey. I beat Peter and Ryan. We played some head to head basketball. It was fun. Peter and I were acting like we did years ago. We were laughing and playfully fighting over the balls. It was just like years past. I sure miss those days.

When we were done there we decided to go back to Waller and play Axis and Allies. Peter, Ryan, and I played against two other people. One guy, I think his name was Tyson, reminded me of someone I knew a few years ago. I think it was him, but obviously he did not really recognize me, or he did not acknowledge that he knew me.

We played the game and I was the USA. GO USA!!!

Criminals are scum

I went into work for a tiny bit. I was ready to head to Colfax and do some work at the jail. Terry told us to take off early. So I did so.

I went to Colfax. I made pretty good time. I changed into my jail uniform. I did not get dinner because they ran out of food. So the officers ordered a pizza.

I helped to book one person before we ate. Then Pullman was going to bring in a guy who was being charged with rape. I was talking to Art until the PPD arrived. The guy gets out of the car. He is a young thug. He was a little bit argumentative at first. I told him to put his hands on the counter. He did at first, then he took them off. I told him to put them back and he started to argue with me. Then he did it. I patted him down. He was wearing some PPD coveralls.

His clothing was taken because of the investigation so he was naked under the coveralls. So I was not too worried about weapons, but you should make no assumptions. So I patted him down. He said "I have already been patted down three times." I said well then this will make four. I started to book him and he was easier to book from that point on.

He was accuse of breaking into someone's house and forcing his hand down her pants and up her shirt. He was scared off before he got too far.

After him the rest of the night was pretty slow. I helped do some rounds and then at midnight I was going to leave. I was listening to the radio. A cop stopped someone for reckless driving. He asked for a case number for Reckless Driving and Indecent Exposure. Then a few minutes later he got on the radio and said to the dispatcher "tell your partner is was what she thought it was". A Colfax cop found a stolen car in town. He was dealing with that and he needed a photo line-up so I helped him use the program I made to create a line up. It worked well.

I went home and watched TV for a tiny bit before I went to bed. I have a big softball game in the morning.

Dog and Pony show

I had to show off my work on the pricing upload stuff today. Terry called it a Dog and Pony show. It was just to make the powers that be happy.

I had my stuff ready to show off. When the meeting started I did my part of the dog and pony show. It went pretty quick. People liked what I had done and they liked where I was going.

Then later on we had a sales presentation. It was to give us an idea of what the sales staff tells the others about our product.

When I got home I did the usual thing. I chatted with some people online. I also worked a little bit more on my forum. It is at http://www.scottyanderson.com/forum. I got some new skins created and new icons. I got them all up and in use.

Scottyland

When I got off work today I went home. I found out that I was going to have to do a dog and pony show tomorrow. So I talked to Jon. He was going to work with me on the pricing upload tool.

I was at home and G-Shack was down. I chatted with Steve-O online for a while. He told me that the forum program is free. So I downloaded it and installed it on my server. I call it Scottyland. It is located at http://www.scottyanderson.com/forum. It is pretty cool. I invited people from G-Shack to check it out. Some of my favorite G-Shacker's came over and stated to post. Ryan is also posting on it. I am happy that it is getting underway.

I did not get to bed until about two am.

Jay Buhner's Induction

I was pretty pumped because I am going to see the Mariners play baseball tonight and I get to see the Jay Buhner Induction to the Mariners Hall of Fame. I was not going to head to the game until about five pm.

I worked most of the day getting more of the project completed for the pricing upload tool. I am getting close, but I am still far away. During some breaks I was on G-Shack. People had been watching a video that I made with photos of people from the shack. I then put it to some little statement that would have been made by that person. People seemed to like it.

I got a call from Jon and he said he was ready for the M's game. I picked him up and we drove to the Safeco field. We got some dinner from a vendor along the way and went inside. Our seats were front row on the field. It was section one-forty-three. We were about five feet from the ball-girl on the left field line. It was so cool to see how close we were. We came close to getting a few foul balls but we were a matter of feet away and that was just too far. I did reach over with my mitt and run it on the warning track.

The Jay Buhner induction was cool. They played some highlights including a bit from Seinfeld where someone was mad at Steinbrenner over trading Buhner to the Mariners. It was funny. Then some of the great plays he made. The M's were losing two to six going into the bottom of the ninth. Edgar got a basehit and then started the show. We had the score at five to six with a man on first and two outs. Then Bloomquist struck out ending the game.

We went to Jon's house and worked on the upload program until almost three am. We got some more headway done. It is getting closer yet we are still a long way from being done.

Amber and Max reunite

After I got home for work today I was playing around on my laptop. I was reading through my typical websites. Janet and Lee came over with Jodi and Max. Amber and Max went outside and ran around like crazy. It was fun to watch them run. They were having a lot of fun.

Lee was telling me about Travis and his service in the Air Force. Then they took off and we had dinner a little later.

I was watching a video I had from boating from last year. I saw Brandt on it. He was really good at tubing, plus he is a huge ten-six-seven! Then I saw Amber on it playing catch in the river.

After I watched that for a while I went downstairs and watched TV. I was online and I went on to Orkut. I ran across someone I wanted to talk to. So I hit him up. We chatted for about thirty minutes. I had talked to him some years ago. It was a good conversation, but it was mainly small talk.

Peterman!

Today was a day you can say I have been waiting for to happen for the last two years. The man who I called my best friend, Peter, and I were going to hang out. I was going to head up to his place in Pullman when I got up at about ten am. However while waiting for my alarm clock to go off we got a medical call in Colfax. That was about four am. So I went on that. I missed out on some sleep I was looking forward to having.

I went to sleep at about six am and slept for another four hours. Then I got up and got ready to go. I loaded my truck and got some breakfast. Then I called Peter. I was worried he was going to do what he has done to me over the last two years. The few times he did agree to do something with me he would not show or back out at the last minute. I was expecting to call him up and not get a hold of him.

To my happy surprise he answered. So I got driving to Pullman. I got to Waller hall. There was a lot of traffic because school starts in the morning. I got out of my truck and walked across the street. I went to the door and I pulled out my phone to call Peter. Then the door opened. It was Peter letting me in. He greeted me. I was a little shy at first when I saw him.

We went into his room and he invited me to have a seat. We started to talk about things. I wanted to ask him why he spent two year avoiding me. I have covered a few things in my blog about Peter and some of my interactions or the lack thereof. He was my one and only best friend and he all of a sudden wanted nothing to do with me. I decided that I would not go there today. I have an idea of how I am going to bring it up. I am going to tell him how hard it was on me to come out to him and relive that a little bit. Then I will move in the direction that will get him to answer my question.

We talked about politics, sports, his trip to Europe, and other things in life. It was like we have not missed a beat, but the whole time I was wondering how long this would last. He needed to go to WalMart and invited me to go. We went over there. There were a ton of students. In a line next to us there were three guys who were from some frat. There is no doubt about that. The first one was about six-foot-three. He had blonde hair and really awesome blue eyes. He was a ten-six-seven. Too bad we were not there longer.

We went to his place again and we started to talk about more of the same stuff. We were really getting back together again. Nothing is planned for the future, but I think things are going well between us. I left sort of suddenly because I was illegally parked and the parking enforcement was starting to give out tickets.

So I left to go back to Seattle. The trip was okay but it was slow going in the pass. When I got home I spent time posting messages on the forum I hang out on. I also sent E-mail out to the softball team about the upcoming season. I watched Harvey Birdman before I finally retired to be.

St. Maries 2004 day two

The day started at about seven am. We had a girls game at eight o’clock in the morning. I brushed my teeth and got ready. I went to watch the women. There were playing well and won their game. Then I got ready for our game at nine-twenty am. We were playing against Green’s Cleaners. I was going to start pitching. My knee was hurting a little bit. After two batters I pulled myself and someone else pitched. We lost that game.

Our next game was going to be at two-thirty. So I went back to camp for a while. Phil, Mark, and some of the women were sitting around and talked. We talked a lot about the upcoming IM softball season. I also took time to watch a game that the loser of the game would play us. I was hoping for a team wearing yellow to lose. They had one guy on the team who was a big time ten-six-seven. He was tall and had blonde hair and blue eyes. He was someone I kept my eye one.

It turned out that yellow team lost. So we played them. That guy was on the other side waiting for the field to clear from the previous game for us to get on the field. It was hot out so he had his shirt off. That was some nice eye candy.

We took the field. I was oh for two in the first game. The second game I did not done any better. I was again oh for two. We ended up losing that game as well. I got in to catch in the last inning. After the game we shook hands with the other team and I decided to take off. I was debating on whether I wanted to go to Seattle or Pullman. I decided on Pullman.

When I got into town I went to my office and got my server running. It was off. There must have been a power outage because my other desktop was off as well. It had not been rebooted since November two thousand and three. I unblocked AJ and we chatted for a few minutes. The twenty-second of August is his eighteenth birthday. I called Dan he said the new quint was in town. So I went to station one and hung out until it came back. I saw it. It is nice. It is really big. There was a PFD on the front door and a Cougar head in a maltase cross. I think that is in preparation for the merger of the WSU and Pullman fire departments.

I went to Cougar Country to get some food and then I went to Colfax. I took a shower and went to the fire station. I talked to Jenny for a few minutes. They had six calls today so I doubt we will get any tonight. On my way home I called up Peter. I got a hold of him. He sounded happy to hear from me. He said that we should hang out. He invited me to come over tomorrow. I will do that for sure.

I went home and Ryan called to see if I wanted to do something but I was in Colfax. He did not say anything about hanging out while I was in Pullman and on the phone with him. He did not sound like he was ready to do anything either. So now that I am here I am not going to go back to Pullman tonight.

I am really looking forward to seeing Peter. It will be weird. We have not done anything together in almost two years. I still don’t know why he did what he did to me. But I am someone who is so forgiving. Many other people would have dropped Peter but I loved that guy as my best friend. He was awesome and it is do hard for me to get rid of him and stop trying to be his friend. I still want to know why he wanted nothing to do with me for two years, but I would also love to have him as a friend again.

St. Maries 2004

I got my truck loaded with my softball stuff and clothing. I was going to be heading to St. Maries after work. I got in around ten am and went to show the people what Jon and I had done. My computer was not working correctly. They had made some changes to things and I had to change some of the rights to the folders I was using. I checked my checking account and I saw I was overdrawn. That really made me mad. I went to the bank and took care of it. Then I went to work again. I got my computer to cooperate with me. I showed Miki what I had. She liked the start but wanted to see a few changes and also gave me more information on what they she wanted.

I also found a flaw with what Jon and I did last night. We are going to have to fix that. I got one or two things taken care. I left work at about one PM to get underway to St. Maries. I got some gas and I was off.

I was tired so I stopped at a rest area to go to the bathroom and I went to get some sleep. But as I pulled over to sleep I found I could not sleep. So after about five minutes I took off again. I had to make one more rest area stop on the way. I got to Spokane and then drove SR twenty-seven. I went into Idaho and then turned in Plummer. I was only about sixteen miles away. It was a long road and the speed limit was about forty. I finally pulled into town and stopped at the store to get some food and beverages. I picked up a six-pack of Diet Pepsi and a twelve pack of Coors Light. This was going to be one of my last weekends drinking beer.

I went to Serve-A-Burger and grabbed a hamburger and then went to camp. I was hoping to see Garrett and talk to him. I had been looking forward to it. I quickly found out he was not coming. That sucked. I hung out. I cracked open a beer and drank it down. G-Pa was there. Many people from my football team were there. I saw Stu and Ivan as well. I chatted with Marliss for a while. Her son Travis is over sea in Iraq with the military. We all hung out and talked for a while. Andy was there. His sister us to play for My Office. He is a ten-six-seven. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. I helped him set up his tent and we talked a lot.

He made some sort of mention about what he wanted to do in the military. I said something about having AC in the rigs. He said most of them do not except for the ones with the special equipment. He said having one of those rigs is nice. Then he said something about sharing it with another guy from the troop for sleeping in to keep cool. I made a joke. He said I did not mean it *that way*. I said what do you mean? He said I know you swing the other way. I said “what?” He said I know about you. I asked how. He said that he had heard it through the other people. So if Andy knows I bet Garrett knows. I think that is why he made a comment to me at the last tournament we were at. Garrett made a comment about me wanting him. But he did not say it jokingly.

Andy said he was sort of surprised when he found out for sure about me. He said that I am not obviously like some other people. I wonder how many other people have been told. I drank some more beer before heading to my truck. I pulled out my laptop. I watched part of the Fast and the Furious with Paul Walker before falling asleep.

Working with Jon on my project

I got into work knowing I had to work done on the UI. I took what I did at home and continued to work on it. I made some really good headway on it. I got a lot of things taken care of. I talked to Jon a little bit and he have me some ideas. I implemented those ideas. I was going to go to his house and meet up with him. We were going to eat dinner and he was going to help me with the UI and get me further along.

I went to his house at about six o’clock. Before I left work I talked to Haymon online. He is now on the East Coast doing his thing in the military. I asked him if he knew if Peter was in town and where he was staying. He said he assumed Peter was back. He gave me Peter’s phone number.

I got to Jon’s house and we had some pizza. Then we went to the swimming pool and watched the boys do some swimming. Then we were back to his house and worked on the project.

He took a lot at what it was doing and then we worked on my code. I did a lot of things that worked but he showed me ways to make it better. So we spent most of the night re-doing what I had done and perfected it. I like what he did. I loved what I had, but what he did made it a lot more flexible. I did not get home and into bed until around one AM.

Working for the government will not get you rich... but...

This day will be one I remember. It was the first time I worked for a company that called an all-hands meeting to do what they did. The meeting was scheduled for ten o’clock AM. Just before the meeting Terry called me into his office. He said that after the meeting he wanted me to stick around. He also said what is going to be said in the meeting really had nothing to do with me. He said that was all he could say. I have no idea what to expect. I am really worried about what is going to happen.

So I am starting to freak out. It is close to meeting time. I am expecting to get a lot of things said to the Dev team. I got into a corner so I would have some mental safety. I was ready for the worst. I wanted to take this one corner behind the door that Greg always sat in. But his stuff was already there. That is really nice because you cannot be seen by some parts of the room. I was prepared for the worst but it was not what I expected.

The CEO started by saying that as we are speaking four people are getting laid off. She said that Greg was one of them. I could not believe it. Greg has been with the company longer than most. Everyone in the room got really quiet. It was sad for us. There was some restructuring to save money and to consolidate some roles. We also lost our whole QA team. They were not going to touch Dev. They know that with out us to fix what we have and build more stuff the company will fold. So I feel safe to a point.

After the meeting Terry told me that what he wanted me around for was if someone who was getting laid off when crazy. He wanted someone who was big and could handle some of these people. It was amazing what I was thinking it could be. Only to have it be no big deal.

After the meeting I went back to my desk. Terry told us we could go home if we wanted. I wanted to get work done on the user interface on the new product that I am working on. When everything was all said and done and I did not get a lot of stuff done on it. I went home and I did do some more work on it.

I watched Rescue Me. The “gay basher” firefighter was in a hearing. His son testified on his behalf that he is not a homophobe and what not. But he obviously is because he does not talk about his son. The people on the department were surprised that he even had a son. He son was given the cold shoulder by he dad after the hearing. I was hoping the dad would cone to his sense and at least be close with his son. I don’t expect him to embrace the homosexuality, but he can at least hold onto his son.

Last day with Brian

Today was the last day Brian was working for NetUpdate. I am not sure what will happen with him gone because he is the guy I worked directly with. I know he is going to be more understanding of my limitations than someone who doesn't know me. He helped me get the job, so I am understandable worried.

We went to the Three Pigs BBQ for lunch with Jon and Jim. We talked about the upcoming changes without Brian around and other things.

I got some work done getting the interface ASP page for the pricing updating tool. I worked on it more at home.

After I got some work done I watched Rescue Me. I did not see it last week and I had to get caught up. That is a good show so far. There is a story line I really am in to. It deals with a firefighter who was beat up by another guy because the one fire fighter is gay.

Jokingly and seriously telling people things.

This is something that took place a long time ago, but I wanted to talk about it. Back in ninety-nine I was hanging out with a guy named Gabe and his roommate, Dave. Both are big ten-six-sevens. Gabe is actually the guy who taught me that term. But Gabe did not describe guys as a ten-six-seven -- only women.

The three of us were hanging out together and we decided to go to ValHalla to see the comedy show they had going on. We got there at about eleven pm. We just missed the show. So we sat at a table. I was sitting next to Gabe and across from Dave.

Quick tangent... Certain songs have meaning to me that is unlike what the real meaning of the song is. Certain songs are happening at a time when something big happens in my life. The song Fly Away has that meaning to me. It was big at that time. I really liked that song. During the first part of this story that is the song that was being blasted at the bar.

Back to the story. Gabe had gotten up to get some drinks. Dave and I were sitting there. He was looking at the women in the bar and saying he wished he was someone they would want. I raised an eyebrow and told him that was non-sense. I said that he is a good looking guy and if I were those women I would want to be with him.

He looked at me and said "Are you gay?" I quickly said "Yes." Normally during that time period I would then laugh it off and say I was kidding. This time however I quickly walked away from the table so I could not do that.

When I came back Gabe was there. I sat on the bar stool next to him. Dave must have talked to Gabe while I was gone. Because as soon as I sat down Gabe put his hand on my shoulder and rested his arm across my back. He said "You know Scotty, we are friends and this does not change anything, we are still friends."

I thought that was so cool! Gabe made me feel okay.

Brian will leave us.

I got word today that Brian will be leaving us at NetUpdate. I am upset that he is going because that will leave us short handed and without someone who knows the product. I am worried about getting the coding done. Jon said he could help me with stuff.

I was in a little bit of a bad mood today. I am not sure why. Actually it was not a bad mood so to speak. It was a mood that I cannot explain. I was mad, sad, anxious, and a few other emotions rolled into one. All day I have not been able to concentrate on anything.

I talked with Matt (Tenorman) for a while. He said him and his dad were going to do something fun. Then I told him about my dad dying. I also e-mailed Mark. I found out that Garrett will be going to St. Maries. This will probably be my last chance to talk to him. I will make sure I do that. I have been wanting to talk to him for more than an year. I have some blog entries from last summer dealing with Garrett.

I got home and things did not get better. I argued with Bill a little bit about dumb stuff. I am still sort of messed up today. I still cannot keep on track with anything. I need to work on applying for that other job at WSU. It sound like it will be about a five thousand dollar paycut, but I am willing to do that to get to WSU. I just have to get an application packet put together. I do not have the mindset to do that today.

Five hour call

I got up the pager going off. There was a transfer. I went to the station. Scott and I went to Whitman Community to pick up the patient and take her to Spokane. We drove code up there. So I was cruising along. Once we got there we dropped the patient off.

We went to get lunch and chatting about the fire department for a while. Then we went back to the hospital and picked her up. We drove code back to Colfax because we wanted to get her to the hospital in case she had some bad effect from the procedures the hospital did.

Then I went home and got my truck loaded. I took off to come home. I did not get in until about ten pm. I got on the G-Shack and posted for a while and chatted with Matt (Tenorman). He is a really nice guy from the Tri Cities.

I did not get to bed until two am. I want to go to bed at midnight but I could not get to bed. I also watched Harvey Birdman. That cartoon rocks!

Boating with the boys

I woke up and had to get ready for some boating. I got the boat turned around in the driveway using my quad. I used the winch on my quad to help move a large tree that fell over in my driveway sometime last week. Then I hooked the boat on to the truck and went to the fire station.

I waited for Dave’s call to come get him up. He called me and I went to the Best Western in Colfax to get him. I also called Russell and Nic about going to the river. They were getting ready. I had Dave and we went to Pullman.

I got a check for Phillip done. I went to get Nic and then Russell. We went to the bank. Then to Safeway to get some food and drinks. Then to the gas station. We headed down to Lewiston to launch the boat.

We got going at about one pm. We cruised a little bit before doing some tubing. Russell was out there. He did awesome. The first crash sent him about ten feet in the air and about fifteen feet flying through the air without the tube below him. I have never seen someone crash like that before. At one going he was riding the tube. It was going to wipe out I saw it coming. He was sitting in the tube. The tube was on edge going perpendicular to the water. It was amazing. I had never seen anything like that.

There were some guys out on another boat. When we would get sort of close to it we could see they were some ten-six-sevens. We all talked it code so Dave did not know what we were saying because Dave did not know any of us are gay.

Near six pm the water started to get rough because the wind was blowing hard. We landed the boat and I got in on the trailer. Another boat docked behind us. One of the guys on the board was a major ten-six-seven. The three of us were staring at him. As he walked by us to get his truck. As he walked by he looked over at us. I am sure he could see we were staring. He nodded and said hi.

We drove to the other side of the road to get the covers on the boat and get ready to go. The ten-six-seven was in his truck getting ready to get his boat. Nic was in my boat with Russell. I was in my truck staring at the guy. Nic whistled. I was just opening the door to the truck so I heard the whistle and saw the guy quickly look our way. I am curious what the guy thought about the fact three fags were hot on him. Nic, Russell, and I were laugh about that.

We went to Pullman and stopped at McDonald’s. Nic works there. He got us all some free food. We ate up. I dropped off Russell and Nic. Then I got Ryan and went to Colfax. I dropped off Dave and Ryan helped me clean the boat out and get it parked.

We went back to Pullman and I got some stuff off the computer at the office. Ryan and I went to McDonald’s and had some food. I did not eat much but Ryan had not had dinner yet.

Then we went to my office to play cards. We stopped at Dissmore’s and I got a chew. Then Dave called. He was at Zeppoz. We gambled there for a little bit and said Hi to Russell. Russell was taking our money like normal. When he left no one tipped him. Then the next deal was there for his turn. When the dealer left everyone started to throw money his was a tip. I said notice that when Russell left no one was throwing money at him. The dealers and everyone at the table laughed hard. Then Ryan and I went to my office again and played Hand and Foot.

I dropped him off at his house before heading home myself. I am really tired and need to get to bed. But instead I watched some TV and enjoyed a dip.

I did not get the WSU job.

I got going a little late this morning. I came downstairs and I knew I was going to have to load a door onto my truck for taking to Colfax. I did not want to do that, but Bill wanted me to get it out of the house. My mom said that if I got out of there before Bill got back from the store she would say she did not hear me come down and did not remind me. I got my laptop and other things ready to go. I started to load my truck and I heard his diesel rumbling down the street. So I know that I was not going to get out of there without the door.

So I headed out to the shop and got the door. I loaded it and got it well secured. I went back to the house and double-checked that I had everything I was going to need. I took off to work. As it turned out I got there a little after ten am. I worked with Brian on the components for the pricing upload tool. I wanted to get out of there at about two pm. I did not get out the door until a little after four pm.

While at work I got a call from Thomas and he let me know the letter from WSU came and I did not get that position that I hoped that I would get. So it is back to the drawing board. But like I said if it was meant to be I would get it. There is a reason I did not get this job and I do not know why.

I got on the road. The traffic was pretty bad most of the way. People were driving slow in all the lanes. On highway twenty-six I was doing sixty-eight in a sixty. I got pulled over by a state trooper. He got my licenses information and told me to slow it down. I took off and continued to Colfax.

I got into town a little after eight pm. I got my uniform on for the jail. I went in and helped out a little bit. There was not a bunch going on. I did some rounds. I also found out one of my former jail workers is not an inmate. It was not fun to see. I worked with him for about six or seven years. I was mad that he is there. He messed up his life by doing what he did.

I worked until a little after one am. I started to work on the inmate handbook. I had to get the rules updated and the book itself updated.

I went batty

I got in to work and we were going to start work on the new components for the pricing upload tool. We spent most of the day discussing with the analysts what it is we should be doing. It was not all that pleasant. But we finally got on track and started to get some work done.

I also got into a conversation with someone from G-Shack. He is a good friend of AJ. He asked me why I said what I had said. Then the conversation got a little heated. He said “Are you a fag, because if you are I can block you from MSN and get on with coding.” I told him to read the blog because it was in there. He said he did not have time and to tell him. I told him I was gay. We talked some more and things cooled down. He said he was sorry for calling me a fag. When it was done he said he was not going to block me. I am not sure if he block all guy gays or if it was just me.

I got a call from Gary. We talked about many items. He was on his way back from work and he asked if I was interested in getting a beer. So we met at Doofer’s after dinner. I had a beer. We played some darts. We talked about what kind of things we are up to. We were there for a couple hours. He does not know that I am gay. Actually from the people I graduated with from high school the only person who knows is Matt. I admitted it to him on our way to the Rose Bowl a few years ago. I will have to add that story to this blog so it is here. It was sort of interesting on how it happened.

I went home and got online. While sitting there my cat went for something. All of a sudden something was flying around the rec room. I looked and it was a bat! I could not believe it. It was flying just over-head. I did not like the idea of getting bit or getting rabies. So I hit the deck and stayed low. I got out of the room. I got Bill. He has dealt with bats in the house. He came down and used a broom to hit the bat as it was flying. We picked it up and put it outside.

I chatted some more online before finally going to bed following the Family Guy and Futurama.

Racketball

My brother invited me to go play racketball. I have never played for real. I learned some stuff about it. It was fun. I did not do well. I have a lot to learn about it.

After we were done Jon and I talked about my ride alongs.

Quitting that which is bad.

I decided to try to live a little bit more healthy. I have had my last chew tonight. I also stopped drinking alcohol. That is not to say once in a great while and very special occasions I wouldn't have a drink, but I am not going to do things like I use to.

I use to quit and start chewing all the time. But I have gotten heavily into it. To the point where I actually question whether I can actually quit. I would have a can last me two weeks. I am lucky if that last two or three days. We'll see how that goes... Hell I want a chew right now.

I had a raging head ache through out the morning. I also am trying to cut back on the caffeine. So that is not helping. But I think things will go well.

We talked about getting that project done at work today. We finally made some headway. We have a project to get going. That is good news.

Some of the people on G-Shack are rooting for me to do well.

I will miss you Edgar!

Well I went into my normal work today. We had a meeting first thing. I met the new guy. I got assigned my new project.

Went back to my cube and waited for the paperwork. I posted messages on G-shack. Ryan who left the company last month was there. We went to lunch with him. He may come back part time. I also learned that Brian may be staying if the company can offer him enough money.

I went home and then I went to Papa Murphy's to get some pizza for us. We had pizza and I spent the rest of the day chatting online. I talked with a guy named Matt. He goes by Tenorman. He is a really super nice guy. He is a Husky fan. We made a bet on the Apple Cup. The loser has to post a naked pic on G-shack. I made the bet jokingly and he took it. Oops.

We talked about a lot of things. He is a singer and is going to send me a sample of him signing the Star Spangle Banner. He also wants to be a school teacher. I sent him two blogs I made. One was the conversation between Russell and I about what make someone gay. The other was about Peter and my coming out to him. I also shared those blogs with Mr.Ibanez from G-shack as well. He was cool with it. He spoken honestly with me about his feelings. That was good of him.

I also learned that Edgar announced that he is going to retire at the end of the season. I am sad about that. So I am getting tickets to the last M's game of the season to see him off. I also got tickets for Jay Buhner's M's Hall of Fame induction. That should be cool.

Playing some softball.

I slept in a little bit. I had a softball scrimmage in SeaTac at two pm. The Hydro races for Seafair were also on. I noticed that many of the boats do not have a Miss in their name. That sucks.

I watched the Blue Angels do their show and chatted online until it got close to two. Then I got ready for softball. I headed to the field. We played against another team who is in a high division. I pitched to start the game. I was doing well. I went four for four in hitting and had an inside the park homerun.

After I was done pitching I played at first base. I made an unassisted double play. One of the guys on the other team was wearing as WSU shirt. He was also a ten-six-seven. So I asked him if he went to WSU. He said he didn't.

After the game I went home and pooperscooped the yard. Then I went in and washed up. I watched the end of the hydro races. The Miss Bud which is in its final season won Seafair. That was cool. I ate some of the finger foods my mom had out.

Then we watched a few other TV shows. I watched the Simpsons. I chatted online with a few people before heading off to bed. It is nice that I do not have to get up early in the morning to go to my Forensic's class. I hate getting up early. I also downloaded songs for my football CD. They are all rock and rap songs to fill it out. It should be a good CD. Now I just have to decide what order to put the song in when I burn them.

Riding with Mark

I woke up this morning with a call from Joe. He asked me to fill out a police report about the incident from last night. I told him I would.I got ready for the ride along and headed to Bellevue. I checked in and waited for about a half an hour for my ride to come and get me. His name was Mark. He is twenty-four and a ten-six-seven. We got in the car and got started. He said he just got off FTO and I was his first rider. We headed out and got our first call. It was a cold car prowl. A guy had he car broken into and someone stole the paperwork from the car and that was it. That was strange. Mark dusted for prints and could not find any. He took a report and we left.

We were supposed to patrol around the downtown area but we spent most of our time elsewhere. We did some radar traffic. We pulled over two cars. We talked about playing football. He said he went to the WSU football camp while he was in high school. He seems like a nice guy. We had a residential alarm that went off. We checked it out. It does not appear to have been a valid alarm.

Then we went to One-Forty-Eighth. There was a girl who was missing. She was fourteen. We helped look for her a little bit. Turns out she was found in one of the department stores.

We then went to a shoplifter at the Bon. She was fourteen. She was not a good little girl. At first it seemed like she was okay, then when we took her downtown to the police station she was argumentative. She was calling people names and swearing like a sailor. She had no respect.

When I was done with the ride along I went home and just stuck around the house all day. I did not feel like going anywhere. I wanted to just relax. I spent the rest of the evening surfing the web and chatting online.

Riding with Joe

I was going to sleep in a little this morning because my computer forensic's class was done. But I was woken up by my step-dad. I worked on getting up. I was going to go to Whatcom County, but I decided that I would feel bad if I did not report into work.

So I went to work at about ten am. I worked until two pm. I chatted with Terry about a few things. I also went to lunch with Brian, Jon, and Jim. We went to the three pigs BBQ.

I took off and the ride up there was sort of slow. The traffic on I-Four-Oh-Five freeway was packed. In and around Everett was the worst. I called Joe and let him know I was on my way. I would be there at about four o'clock pm. He said he would be at one of their satellite offices. I got in right about four pm, like I expected. When I got there he came out and greeted me. It was good to see him. He was wearing green BDU top and bottoms. Their patches were black. His uniform looked good. He looked good still. I was so happy to see him. We have been friends for many years, but he now lives about seven hours from me so I don't get to see him very often.

We started by driving on some of the rural roads. We got a call to be on the look out for a Canadian car that was passing illegally and driving fast. We saw it and turned on them. We got up to about eighty to catch up to them. We pulled them over and gave them a warning.

Then we went really far out into the county. We cruised on the roads. Joe would run his radar but he did not pull people over unless they were doing about fourteen or more over the limit. We also stopped as a fire station because he had to deal with a couple people on a theft case.

We were on the road again and we started to head back towards Bellingham. We were looking to get some food. We went to a place called the Hawaiian Hut. We had some good food. Then we left from there and Joe was going to show me some property he is looking at buying.

We were heading East on B*** Blvd nearing the stop sign at the B*** Blvd and J**** Road intersection. A black colored car in front of us turned right on to B**** Rd without coming to a complete stop. The driver of the black car then took another right turn and headed West on E**** Street.

Joe attempted to keep up with the black car. Joe doing about fifty to sixty and was unable to gain ground on the black car. The black car continued on E**** Street past the C**** Street intersection. We hit the intersection and there was a huge drop off on the road. The front of the car hit the road hard. We kept going. The black car quickly weaved around several cars parked on the roadway. The cars caused the roadway to be nearly impassable. We almost got stuck in a ditch, but were able to make our way out of it. Actually on the right rear tire was in it.

About 100 feet past those cars the hill flattens out. The black car pulled to the left side of the road. I could see one person in the driver seat and a dog in the car. Joe took off his seatbelt and quickly got out of his patrol car. The man in the black car came to a complete stop. His car door flew open and the man from the car took off running perpendicular to his car. His car was facing Eastbound he ran Southbound. Joe was yelling at the driver of the black car to stop. The driver of the black car did not listen to Joe's command; instead he continued to run.

Joe started to chase after the driver from the black car. They ran down a small hillside beside the house where the driver of the black car stopped his car. The driver of the black car ran behind the house and was heading Eastbound. I saw Joe round the same corner and I could see he was about to fall down.

Joe did fall down. The suspect fell and slid through some sticker bushes. The guy got up and jumped a fence. Joe went through the hole in the sticker bushes the guy made and jumped the fence.

I saw Joe come out on the street a few houses down. He lost the bad guy. Then some people who were at a party at near the house Joe was at pointed that the bad guy had ran down the hill. A couple people at the party also gave chase and had cornered him.

Joe got down there and the guy ran into a garage. They got into a fight in the garage and Joe sprayed the guy with pepperspray. He got the guy outside and tried to cuff him. The guy was still fighting. Joe finally got him cuffed and held the guy down with the help of one of the people who gave chase from the party. Some back up units came and they put the guy in the patrol car.

A few minutes later a sergeant from the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office and a couple deputies came back to the black car. The sergeant found someone to take care of the dog that was in the black car. The sergeant and the local neighbor took the dog from the black car. At that time the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office members took control of the black car.

They found all sorts of illegal things in the car. As it turns out the guy was a major dirtbag. He was a felon. He had about fifteen felonies to add to his list after this situation. Starting with the Felony Elude and going on from there.

During the situation Joe hurt himself. We had to go to the hospital and get X-rays for him. We sat in the ER for about two and a half hours. He got X-rays and it showed that nothing was broken. I had to fill out all of Joe's forms because he could not use his hand.

After the hospital we went back to the station and he turned in some paperwork. I saw a list of all the felonies they were going to add to this guy. It was long. I filled out another form for Joe and then he took me to my car. I took a photo of Joe with his car and then headed home. It was another two hours to get home and I had to get up early for a ride along with Bellevue PD.

Rock Me!

I went to class today listening to my new CD. I heard Rock Me by White Snake. That is one of my favorite songs! I love it. I like how it starts out slow then gets louder and speeds up.

We got one more tool, exchanged business cards, and then went to lunch as a group again. I will miss sitting around with everyone talking about stuff. We use to chat about all sorts of issues while sitting outside of the room after lunch and before class started at the beginning of the day. We all got pretty close. I wish it would go a little longer.

After class I went to my work in Bellevue. I got the flowchart finished. I spent some time getting caught up on e-mail and G-Shack. I also got an e-mail about playing softball this Sunday. I will be out there for that. I am excited to see the guys on the Mauler's team again.

I went home and sat around tonight. I watched some TV and chatted online with Jephren and AJ for a while. We talked about relationships.

Going back to Fry's

Today were finished up pretty much everything in the forensic's class. Tomorrow will be a wrap up day. We went out to lunch as a group and had some food at Red Robin.

After class I went back to Fry's because I had to get some CD-R's and DVD-R's. I forgot to get them the other day. I was hoping to go through the line with the ten-six-seven cashier. Last time I was there I was in line and I saw him. I wanted to have him as my cashier and I got him. It was cool. However, he was not there today.

I came home and burned a couple music CD's on my new burner. I used Rhapsody to do that. Then I ripped the songs I burned and I also ripped the songs from the CD's I bought recently. Now I have more music for my long trips.

I watched Rescue Me. They have a thread in there about a guy who is a fire fighter who beat another guy who was gay. Now that fire fighter is close to getting fired and he is worried about his job. They also eluded to him having a gay son. That could be why he hates gays so much.

I remembered my wallet today

We worked on our image for other computer forensic classes. We made a realistic one with passwords that are crackable. I spent time writing a four page diary for our serial arsonist. We named him Patrick R. Kasey. It was a fun assignment.

When we were talking about how to tell if someone did some bit shifting. I suggest that a list of file headers could be made of common file types. And then if they were bit shifted you could tell by the headers. You would know exactly what was done to hide it. Our instructor who wrote a book on computer forensics. She liked that idea and wants to use it in her book. She said she would give me credit for the idea. I thought that was really cool.

After class I went to Fry's to get a thumb drive and a DVD burner. I got an external burner. It is an eight-x DVD +/- RW. It does CD's at forty-x.

I went to NetUpdate to work on some stuff at the office. I thought someone was there because a car was in the parking lot. I was wrong. The alarm went off. I shut it down. But after about fifteen minutes someone showed up. I explained what happened. All was good. I downloaded some songs on my rhapsody.

I came home at about eight pm and ate dinner. I got my coroner's case report finished. I watched Extreme Dodgeball and got my DVD burning set up on my laptop. I am excited about making a DVD to play in the DVD player.

Week two of my computer forensic's class

I got up and headed to Highline community college for class. We are starting week two. I had to get caught up on the stuff I missed. I read the book last night and I was ready for class.

I was not ready to buy stuff from the store. I got some donuts and pop from Safeway. I forgot my wallet and I had to use my poker change to pay for the stuff. So I figured I could go back at lunch and use a check and get some cash back. Then I ran into a second problem. I needed ID. Which was in my wallet at home. A manager came over and said he would accept a check for the amount of the purchase from me without the ID but not for extra money. So I did get lunch. But I could not get gas and I was getting low.

We did more on Stego and worked on another image to find data and hidden information. We also worked on doing some data carving. That was fun.

I came home and was worried about my lack of gas situation. I was going up Cemetery hill and I was down to five miles until empty. I was sweating it a little bit. I got home and I figured I better go to the gas station tonight so I would not be forced to get gas in the morning.

After dinner I went to get gas. I also picked up some chew.

I needed to brush Amber. So I took her outside to do that. I also had a dip and talked to Justin on the phone for a little while. Then I got online and worked on getting caught up on posts on G-Shack.

What the heck?

I got up this morning to a call from Dave. I left my hat in his hotel room. So he dropped it off and left it on the hood of my truck. I was still in bed sleeping. About forty-five minutes later he called again and had me come outside. He bought me a weedeater for a house warming gift. It is a nice one too! I was so happy. I thanked him for it. While talking to Dave I got a call from Pete. He said there was a case in Pullman. He asked if I wanted to work on it.

I was planning on heading out of town for softball. But I wanted to show Pete that living in Seattle would not be a problem. So I said I would do it. I went to the ER in Pullman. It was a natural death. I did my investigation and determined that it was a natural death and that it was a cardiac event.

I took off and headed to Seattle. I left Colfax at about noon. I rolled into Renton at about four pm. I got into my softball uniform and headed to the game. I got there in time to see the team give high-fives to the other team. I missed the game. We lost. They said I was really needed as the guy who was pitching for us walked in about fifteen runs in the first inning, and that was not an exaggeration.

We headed to the Apogee Tavern. We talked for a bit. While there Ryan called me. He needed Steve's phone number. I said Steve who? He said that he wanted the chief of WSU police. I don't give home numbers out for cops, even to my best friend. I tried to get more information. I found out his roommate called the cops and claimed he had stolen some stuff.

He did not know what to do. I talked to Steve and he could not help. So I told Ryan that he should speak with a public defender. I said in that situation the cop is not his friend. I said that saying anything could possibly hurt. I also said he should talk to a public defender if they want to search his room. I knew he had nothing to hide, but if she had hidden something in his room it would look bad.

I talked to him again a bit later. He said the cops dropped it. It sounds like his roommate finally told them the truth or at least asked them to drop it. We talked about it. I said that he needs to move out tomorrow. No time to waste. I told him that he needs to leave right away. Before she was being silly with her little complaints about things, but calling the cops and accusing him of stealing went over the line. I told him that she was messing with his life.

I hope he does move out and gets a new place. I hope he does not wait around for something else to happen.
